udChalo begins to offer special travel packages for the armed forces

The travel packages were arranged based on a recent survey of defense personnel travel requests

udChalo, a consumer technology company that caters exclusively to the Indian Armed Forces, has embarked on offering a curated and personalized collection of travel and tourism packages for its audience. Observing an increase in demand for travel and tourism among defense personnel and veterans in the post-Covid era, the move was part of the startup’s strategic expansion plan.

A recent field survey of jawans suggested that more than 40% of service members are looking forward to traveling in 2022 while on vacation. Since the pandemic is officially over and restrictions on travel standards have been eased, jawans have been eager to plan their trips with family and dependents. A large portion of these participants would choose sacred pilgrimage destinations like Shirdi and Vaishnodevi, while the rest wish to travel to destinations of scenic beauty and serendipity such as Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.

Travel packages were organized by udChalo based on these requests.

Speaking about his business expansion plan, Ravi Kumar – Founder and CEO of udChalo said, “This pandemic has been a difficult and stressful time for every individual. Just as families plan to resume their travel habits, our defense personnel are also returning in search of comfort and well-deserved recreational breaks. True to our motto “service for service”, these special packages are user-friendly and have been specially designed to meet the unique requirements of our customers offering comfort and convenience as a key parameter during their holiday. We are optimistic that the acceptance of the new offer from udChalo will contribute to this change of mindset in our segment and help us in our future expansion plans.

Recently, udChalo has made a foray into the real estate sector. With this, Indian defense personnel can purchase real estate through udChalo with a minimum discount of 10% from the actual market price.
