If you’re thinking about taking a big trip, but high ticket prices have put you off, I have good news. Low-cost airline Norse Atlantic offers nonstop flights from LAX in Los Angeles and JFK in New York to Berlin from $119 one way. Other airlines are also offering deals for flights to Germany, including Play and TAP Portugal. These agreements were first reported by Scott’s Cheap Flights and shared by The dot guy.
The Norse Airline deal applies to flights beginning in August. By booking directly via the airline website, you can find direct one-way flights from NYC or LA to Berlin for less than $200. From New York, you can find one-way fares in August starting at $119, and from Los Angeles, you can find one-way fares in September starting at $137. By maintaining flexibility with dates, you will be able to ensure that you can find the lowest prices available. The lowest fares will be economy tickets, so be sure to factor the cost of checked baggage into your budget calculations.
“We are very pleased to announce these two new routes from Berlin to New York and Los Angeles. For far too long, the vibrant and culturally diverse city of Berlin has been plagued with poor direct transatlantic connectivity. Our extremely competitive fares and flights will allow customers to finally enjoy affordable and convenient travel between Germany and the United States,” said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, in a press release.
Beyond Norse Atlantic, you will be able to find offers from a few other airlines. On Google Flights, you can find flights between Newark and Berlin from TAP Portugal for $368 roundtrip for dates in January. These flights will include stopovers. From Baltimore, you can find round-trip fall flights to Berlin for less than $500 with Play Airlines, which is a low-cost airline.
Remember that these low rates are subject to availability. You will need to be flexible with your travel dates and book quickly in order to take advantage of the discounts.
