Emirates and Etihad offers from Dubai and Abu Dhabi

While travel has been on the back burner for much of the past two years, it’s hoped 2022 will be different.

As the world grapples with the Omicron variant of Covid-19, optimistic industry experts stand by their belief that air travel will come back strong in 2022. And if it does, then can. -being that travel will be on the cards again for many of us this year.

Helping to extend some of that hope and also helping to stave off the January blues, several airlines have launched flight sales to start the new year in a good mood.

Whether it’s planning a trip to visit family or planning a long-awaited vacation, these discounted flight deals to destinations around the world save travelers money when they travel. of booking their next flight.

Etihad Global Sale: Discounted Fares on Flights to Amman, London, New York

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has launched its global sale, offering cheaper fares to several destinations and discounts in economy and business class.

The sale is valid until January 21 and you can take advantage of it for any flight booked for travel before June 1.

For London, economy class fares start from Dh 1,995 or you can travel by business jet from Dh 9,995. If Europe beckons you, go to Geneva, Milan, Paris or Zurich, all included in the January sale, with prices starting at less than 2,000 Dh.

If you’re looking for something more tropical, Thailand is a six hour flight from Abu Dhabi and Etihad offers seats on flights to the capital Bangkok from Dh 1,995.

Closer to home, fly to Jordan with fares to Amman available for less than Dh 1,000 or fly to Egypt with economy fares to Cairo from Dh 1,195 and tickets to business class plane from 3 995 Dh. Anyone planning a trip to Pakistan can book discounted fares to Islamabad with Etihad fares starting from Dh795 when booking this month.

Travelers wishing to explore the United States can fly to New York or Washington in economy class from Dh 2,995.

Etihad also offers US travelers the option to go through immigration while still in Abu Dhabi, so you can go through airport security faster when you land. If you plan to travel in Business Class to the United States, fares start from 12,995 Dh.

Emirates Featured Fares: Discounted Travel to Singapore, Thailand and More

Emirates has yet to announce a big sale in January, but the Dubai airline is offering slightly lower fares on flights to certain destinations when you travel before June 15. You will need to take advantage of it quickly, however, as most star fares expire on Monday evenings.

The offers available include return economy class tickets to Karachi from 995 Dh, Dammam in Saudi Arabia from 1,195 Dh and to Delhi from 1325 Dh.

If an African safari is on your radar, Emirates offers round-trip flights to Nairobi from Dh 1,535 in economy class or Dh 7,595 in business class.

Further afield, you can book economy class tickets to Singapore from 1,895 Dh or a business flight from 8,495 Dh. Vacation destinations are also included in the promotion with featured rates to Casablanca from Dh1955 and to Phuket, Thailand’s largest island, from Dh2195 in economy class or Dh7985 in business.

Several European destinations, including Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna and Athens, are also part of Emirates’ latest promotion.

Flydubai winter sale: vacation packages to Georgia, Armenia and more from 1,600 Dh

From Dubai, a discounted winter getaway could be considered with Holidays by flydubai’s January sales. The deal is now in line with trips offered to five different destinations – Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Albania and Azerbaijan.

Ideal if you want to hit the slopes, take in the mountain views, or just experience cooler climates, these places are known for their winter deals and sales run until January 20 for travel anytime between January 15. and February 20.

All offers include return flights from Dubai, transfers and hotel stays.

For Armenia, a three night stay starts from Dh1599 including flights. Hit the slopes in Tsaghkadzor or ice skate in Yerevan Winter Park, then sleep in a four-star hotel.

In Azerbaijan, with its melting pot of Asian, European and Middle Eastern cultures, flydubai offers winter vacation packages from Dh 1,899 for three nights.

Holidays in Georgia start from Dh 1,999 including three nights in a four star hotel with breakfast. The country has made a name for itself as a premier winter destination thanks to its snow-capped mountains, frozen lakes and winter activities.

Kyrgyzstan is a good choice if you want to take the less explored route. Three-night packages start from Dh2099 and include a stay at a three-star hotel, transfers, and round-trip flights from Dubai to Bishkek. Settle into a mountain yurt with views of snow-capped peaks, explore Ala Archa National Park, and stroll through Kyrgyzstan’s largest city and capital, rich in history and culture.

Albania is also on the cards with four night stays starting at Dh 4,049 per person. Land in Tirana and explore the country’s rich history before discovering the awe-inspiring nature of Albania teeming with mountains, rivers, lakes and thermal waters.

Changes to Covid-19 travel rules

Negative PCR tests and, or proof of vaccination, are required for travel to many destinations, including return to the United Arab Emirates.

All travelers planning to travel with Etihad will also need to undergo a negative PCR test before boarding flights to any destination in the airline’s network as part of their Covid-19 welfare response.
